Bear Necessities Volume 35
Last week was another exciting and busy week for Athletics. It seemed like nearly every day there was a signing, senior game, or awards ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of our student-athletes. Last Tuesday, we hosted our Spring Sports Awards in the Great Hall, which is always one of the first signs that graduation is right around the corner.
The timing of this ceremony is always unique, as we still have programs continuing their seasons, with Track & Field, Gymnastics, and Softball still competing.
At each celebration, I close with the same message: invest in yourself. Continue the hard work, discipline, and commitment that you dedicated over the past three months. Growth does not stop when the season ends, and the work put in during the offseason often makes the biggest difference.
I am excited to announce our summer conditioning schedule and hope to see many of our athletes continuing to train, improve, and prepare for the year ahead. This summer, we will offer full sessions for Volleyball, Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, and General Conditioning. We will also offer a limited number of dates for Golf and Tennis, with those schedules being released next week.
Additionally, we will introduce a sign-up process for parents or athletes to complete, allowing families to indicate the dates their daughter plans to attend. This will help our department coordinate staffing, ensure proper supervision, and confirm that all attending athletes are cleared to participate.
