Bear Necessities Volume 28
March is National Athletic Trainer's Month, and I am excited to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible work of our Athletic Trainer, Addie Martin, and the impact she has already made within our community.
Since stepping onto campus, Ms. Addie has made an immediate and meaningful difference in the lives of our student-athletes. Every day, she is there helping our athletes prepare, recover, and heal. Ensuring that they can compete safely and confidently. Her knowledge, care, and dedication to the well-being of our students are felt across every team and season.
Her presence on the sidelines brings a sense of reassurance not only to our athletes, but also to our coaches. Knowing she is there allows our teams to compete with confidence, trusting that they are supported by a professional who always puts student health first. Her professionalism and demeanor are also recognized by visiting schools, reflecting the high standard of care and sportsmanship we value in Mercy Athletics.
Athletic trainers often work behind the scenes, but their impact is immeasurable. From injury prevention and treatment to rehabilitation and education, she plays a vital role in supporting the holistic well-being of our student-athletes.
During National Athletic Trainer's Month, I am grateful for her commitment, compassion, and expertise. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our Mercy community.
