Bear Necessitites Volume 13
Water polo has always been a challenging sport here at Mercy, especially with our smaller-than-regulation pool, which constantly pushes our coaches to get creative with training and structure. But that never deterred Dylan Sainz '25, She embraced every challenge and ultimately found her home in goal, becoming a steady and determined presence for our team.
Earlier this season, some of our players had the chance to visit College of San Mateo and cheer her on. It's always special to reconnect and see our Bears thriving beyond the Den, and she is a perfect example of the resilience and heart that define Mercy athletics. Dylan Sainz '25 has continued her athletic career at CSM, and we couldn't be prouder.
"Hi Bears! I'm officially halfway through my first semester (whoohoo!). Even though my water polo season ended a little earlier than expected, I had an amazing experience working with a dedicated team and balancing a tough schedule. I've grown so much in just a few short months, and I've accomplished things I never imagined I could. One of the best moments was traveling down to San Luis Obispo for a tournament. We had back to back games and reminded me of Mercy's Watsonville tournament. As I head into the new year I'm excited to continue my journey at CSM and see where it takes me next!"
