Bear Necessities Volume 12
As we wrap up another exciting fall season, I want to take a moment to thank all of our athletes, coaches, and families. It has been an incredible few months filled with hard work, and countless memorable moments across all of our programs.
Now that all of our fall seasons have come to a close, I often get asked the same question: "What should I do in the off-season?" My advice is simple, keep playing!
Do not let all of the progress you've have made over the past few months stall. Do not let those tennis rackets collect dust in the garage or those water polo balls dry outside of the pool. The skills, confidence, and habits our athletes have built during the season can continue to grow if they stay active and engaged.
I am a firm believer that athletes see the most improvement in their game when they play matches, participate in games, or run races. Practice is important, but there's no substitute for real competition. I encourage all of our athletes to find a league, a tournament, or a race. Whether it's through a local recreation program team, a club team, or simply getting out and playing with friends, staying involved keeps the momentum going.
I am proud of all of our athletes for their commitment and growth that was on display all fall, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish next.
