Bear Necessities Volume 9

Over the past few years, our Volleyball program has reached new heights, experiencing incredible success and growth. A key contributor to that success has been Mia Ferdinand '25, whose talent, leadership, and determination have left a lasting impact on our program.

I am thrilled to share that Mia Ferdinand has continued her academic and athletic career at Hawaii Pacific University, where she is competing at the next level in collegiate volleyball. She recently gave us a glimpse into her journey from her time on our court in the Shark Tank. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can't wait to see all that she achieves at Hawaii Pacific and beyond.

"Hi Mercy!!

I am currently about halfway through my freshman season on the Hawaii Pacific University Volleyball Team. I am having so much fun being on this team and competing with these girls. Just a couple nights ago we beat our longtime rivals for the first time in four years. I have learned so much in only a couple months here and I am so excited to continue growing as a person and a player because of this program. As of now we are prepping for our own dig pink game on 10/24 and our NorCal travel trip that begins on the 1st of November. I am so grateful that I have been given this opportunity and I have many to thank including my Mercy Coaches. GO BEARS!!! "
